Dr. Jason Powers opened his Milan practice in 2007 with a simple belief: patients heal best when you treat the root of the problem, not just where it hurts. Over the years that belief grew into something bigger.
In 2016 Dr. Powers integrated medical services into the practice, so patients could reach advanced care, from chiropractic adjustments to regenerative treatments, all in one trusted place. Today Balance Medical and Rehab brings chiropractic and medical care together under one roof, including primary care and lab work drawn right in our office.

Dr. Powers opened the practice in Milan in 2007 and has cared for local families ever since. He earned his chiropractic degree from Palmer College and a business degree from Mercer University, and originally came to Tennessee from Savannah, Georgia. In 2016 he integrated medical services into the clinic so his patients could reach more advanced care, from adjustments to regenerative treatments, all in one place. Outside the office he enjoys time with his family, coaching his son's baseball team, and boating.
Makiya graduated from the University of Memphis in 2021 and spent her early career in primary care. She has a passion for helping patients feel and be the best version of themselves, and she builds care around trust, listening, and open communication.
Dr. Deeter completed her Exercise Science degree at Murray State University before earning her chiropractic doctorate near St. Louis, Missouri. She focuses on musculoskeletal conditions and holistic health, with a special interest in caring for children and expectant mothers.
With the clinic since 2008, Joe helps patients understand their insurance benefits and works with them to make the care they need affordable. He is often the friendly first point of contact for questions about coverage and payment plans.
